Drives and motor control matched to the load.
Industrial Leader diagnoses drive faults, modernises motor-control systems and commissions variable speed drives for industrial plant. We look at the complete application: supply, protection, motor, mechanical load, feedback and PLC interface. That approach helps resolve the underlying problem and gives your team a clearer path from a recurring trip to reliable operation.

Trace the fault through the whole system
A drive trip can start outside the drive. We examine fault history, operating conditions and motor data alongside the equipment and its control signals. The investigation may include the motor and cable, encoder feedback, cooling, supply conditions or a changing mechanical load. Testing is planned around the equipment and site requirements before components are replaced.
- Overcurrent, overvoltage, thermal and communication trips
- Motor, cable, feedback and control-interface investigations
- Intermittent faults reviewed against real operating conditions
Replace obsolete equipment with a planned solution
A replacement drive needs more than the same power rating. We assess the application duty, motor characteristics, overload requirements, communications and panel environment. Where an old model is unavailable, we define the changes needed for its successor, including mounting, control wiring, fieldbus mapping and software. Parameter records and a commissioning plan support the transition.
- Siemens SINAMICS, ABB ACS and Danfoss VLT families
- Schneider Altivar and Rockwell PowerFlex applications
- Model compatibility and component availability confirmed during scoping
Build motor control into the process
We engineer control arrangements for pumps, fans, conveyors and production machinery, connecting drives and starters to the operating sequence. Applications may require speed control, duty/standby selection, pressure or flow regulation, or coordinated line operation. Starting, stopping and restart behaviour are agreed with your team, while protection and safety functions are addressed within their defined scope.
- VSDs, soft starters, contactors and motor-protection interfaces
- PLC and HMI control with useful fault information
- Speed, torque and tension applications subject to process review
Commission under the conditions that matter
We establish the motor data, configuration and control interface before testing operation through the required range. Commissioning checks may include acceleration, deceleration, feedback direction, process response and communication-loss behaviour. For coordinated drives, the relationship between machines matters as much as an individual motor. Results, limitations and final settings are recorded for handover.
- Parameter backup and approved configuration records
- Fieldbus integration and operator-interface checks
- Load testing coordinated with production and maintenance
Use drive data to support maintenance
Current, torque, temperature and fault records can provide useful operating context when trended correctly. We can connect selected values to SCADA or condition-monitoring tools and help define which changes deserve investigation. A baseline must account for load and operating speed; a rising current value alone does not establish a mechanical fault or predict a failure date.
- Run hours, starts and fault-history reporting
- Read-only trends alongside process and condition data
- Critical-spares review based on installed equipment
Questions about drives & motor control
Do you repair drive circuit boards?
Our scope covers diagnosis, configuration, module or drive replacement and commissioning. Board-level repair is referred to a manufacturer or specialist repairer where appropriate, with replacement options reviewed against your production needs.
Can you convert a DC drive system to AC?
We can scope the conversion after reviewing torque, speed range, mechanical interfaces and process control. The project may include a new motor, drive, panel changes and PLC integration, followed by process testing.
Can an existing motor run from a VSD?
That depends on the motor, duty, cooling, cabling and application. We review those details and the manufacturer's information before confirming suitability and any additional measures required.
