Scan the panel. Find the approved record.

Panel Passport is a proposed pilot service from Industrial Leader. A QR label identifies a control panel or machine and takes authorised users to its approved drawings, manuals and service history. A document assistant helps find information and cites its sources so technicians can check the original record. We are seeking a first pilot site.

Panel Passport is a pilot offering. The examples describe a proposed implementation. A QR label identifies an asset; it does not grant access or authorise work on equipment.

Bring the panel's working history together

Maintenance time is easily lost searching shared folders, comparing drawing revisions or finding a manual for an installed component. The proposed passport creates one organised asset record with a clear owner. It links documents and dated service entries to the panel identity, making it easier to find the information relevant to that piece of equipment.

  • Asset ID, site, location and equipment details
  • Approved drawings, manuals and component records
  • Dated modification and maintenance entries with attachments

Make revision status visible

A record is only useful when its status is understood. The pilot will define who approves documents and how current, superseded and incomplete information is labelled. A nominated customer owner confirms approved revisions before they become current. Missing drawings or reconstruction work are identified during discovery and scoped separately from the platform setup.

  • Revision, approval status and effective date
  • Clearly marked superseded records
  • Agreed document-owner and update responsibilities

Ask a question, then open the source

The proposed assistant searches the records approved for the asset and presents source references with its answer. It can help locate a drawing, summarise a manual section or list recorded service work. Answers must identify the document and relevant page or sheet where available. Missing or conflicting information is reported as a gap for human review.

  • Source-cited answers from the authorised document collection
  • Direct access to the original record for checking
  • No invented terminal numbers, ratings or settings

A QR label identifies an asset; it does not grant access

Users sign in and see only the records their access permits. Customer separation and permissions must be tested before a pilot goes live. The assistant cannot command equipment, change PLC programs or safety settings, or approve work and energisation. Technicians remain responsible for checking documentation and following the site's approved procedures and authorisation arrangements.

  • Named access roles and customer-record separation
  • Approved scope for hosting and any AI processing
  • Export, retention and deletion arrangements agreed before upload

Pilot one site before planning a wider rollout

The proposed starting point is one site with approximately five to ten panels or machines, reasonably complete records and an assigned document owner. We agree the setup, labels, user workflow and acceptance checks together. The commercial model is scoped setup followed by a recurring service fee, with inclusions and support responsibilities confirmed before commitment.

  • Test document accuracy, source citations and access boundaries
  • Check label usability and information retrieval with technicians
  • Review pilot findings before adding further assets

Questions about panel qr & digital records

Is Panel Passport available as an established product?

It is a pilot proposal, and we are looking for a first site. Features, hosting, support and acceptance criteria will be agreed for the pilot; illustrative examples are not customer deployments.

Can someone access our records by photographing a QR code?

The QR code is an asset link, not an access credential. Sign-in and the correct permissions are required. Access and customer separation are part of the pre-launch checks.

What if our records are incomplete?

We identify the gaps first. Document collection, verification or reconstruction may be a separate engineering scope. The assistant must show missing information rather than create an unsupported answer.
